Robert Edwin House

This is mostly for my "Terminal Affair" readers and other fans of House.  For those that don't know I own a book called, "The Secret Language of Birthdays" which not only tells about each particular Zodiac sign in great detail but describes every birthday itself.  Out of curiosity I read House's birthday, not expecting it to fit because most of the time people just throw random dates on characters in video games, but like in real life (where I find this book scarily accurate) almost every word rang so true that I felt compared to share.  It sure explains a lot about the way House operates.  I warn you, there is a LOT here.  This is a very in-depth book. I put the day first so if you don't want to read after that you don't have to, but under a cut I have also included all the general Cancer info as well as the Cancer I traits.  Enjoy!

June Twenty-Fifth
The Day of the Sensitive Receptor

Robert House
STRENGTHS: Empathic, Perceptive, Original
WEAKNESSES: Oversensitive, Moody, Unsure

June 25 people have a rare capacity for realizing their dreams.  Reasons for their success include a knowledge of the environment surrounding them and the times in which they live, as well as a sensitivity to what works and what doesn't.  Thus they are not only tuned in to people and events but also may be able to capitalize on the opportunities presented by them.  Financial success can be theirs if they can put their emphatic powers to work, but they may suffer financial reversals or even poverty before they realize their potential.

Either consciously or unconsciously June 25 people are asking other to have faith in them, because what they produce or say is often highly visionary.  This acceptance on the part of their audience is essential to the self-confidence of those born on this day as well as their ability to work and create.  This includes the basic support of family, which anchors and stabilizes their career.  Without this trust and faith, the energies of June 25 people often burn out or run down, ending in collapse.  In certain cases they may also find themselves exhausted by sensuous or hedonistic drives.

June 25 people must take care to screen the emotional input of others, as those born on this day draw powerfully positive and negative influences.  Such influences can so deeply take hold in a June 25 person that they mistakenly believe them to be originating inside themselves, rather than coming from external sources.  Cultivating objectivity and discernment is thus essential to the their psychological well-being.

Generally, the nurturing side of June 25 people is highly developed and applies not only to their family, friends, and colleagues, but also to their homes, possessions, and money, which they like to keep in a process of growth and development.  Thus most June 25 people are adept at both earning money and investing it wisely.  They understand that many areas of life, the small acts of caring and concern one invests in the present, can bring great future returns.

June 25 people can be very emotional in relationships, though their love and sex feelings are generally kept private and under strict control.  What they do show is a propensity to release in public are sharp criticisms and occasional outbursts of anger and negativity, perhaps even rough language.  Already known for their highly changeable moods, June 25 people must beware of turning dictatorial, imposing their views or alienating others, such behavior will drive away those whose trust they truly need.

Numbers and Planets

Those born on the 25th day of of the month are ruled by the number 7 (2+5=7) and by the planet Neptune.  Because Neptune (the watery planet ruling visions, dreams, and psychic phenomena) can be associated with the Moon (which rules the inner emotional state and also the sign of Cancer), June 25 people are often empathic, sometimes too much so.  This is to say, influences of the Moon and Neptune underscore the June 25 vulnerability to negative energies.

Tarot

The 7th card o the Major Arcana is the Chariot, which shows a triumphant figure moving through the world, manifesting his physical presence in a dynamic way.  The card may be interpreted to mean that no matter how narrow or precarious the correct path, one must continue on.  The good side of this card posits success, talent, and efficiency; the bad side suggests a dictatorial attitude and a poor sense of direction.

Health

As indicated, June 25 people must be able to screen out negative energies that come their way.  Because of their extreme receptivity, they may be particularly vulnerable to contagious disease.  They must therefore take necessary precautions to protect themselves.  Negative influences may of course include psychological disturbances as well.  Maintaining an objective space between themselves and others is crucial to the health of June 25 people.  As time passes, many born on this day become more skillful at allowing healthy influences through while closing harmful ones out.  Thus they may choose to share in a more selective way.  Enjoying food with others is an integral factor in good health, and those June 25 people unversed in the culinary acts should take up cooking, if possible.  In general they should craft a diet that lends them a sense of well-being, experimenting by trial and error rather than adopting one ready-made.  Swimming is particularly recommended as an exercise.

Advice

Strive to maintain some degree of objectivity in regard to your feelings.  Protect yourself when necessary, but remain open to positive influences.  Cultivate mental discrimination.  Beware of mistaking someone else's feelings for your own.

Meditation

The most amazing place you will ever be in your life is where you are right now.

Cancer is the fourth sign of the Zodiac, representing deep feeling, protectiveness, and the home.  It is the first water sign and symbolically relates to the period when the human being typically matures, settles into a home base and acquires the use of introspection as a means to understand life.  Specifically, Cancer can be compared to the evolution and refinement of emotional experience in the young adult.  Having children of one's own for the first time brings out strong protective instincts.

Ruled by the Moon, Cancer is associated with highly personal emotions, and also with the life of the subconscious.  Dreams are integral to the world of Cancer.  If the ocean, whose tides are controlled by the moon, may be said to represent the universe of diffuse feeling, then the Crab itself can symbolize the crystalization of those emotions in a single being.  The armor of the Crab hides its extremely sensitive interior world from view.

Cancer can be seen as an evolutionary state between Gemini and Leo that transmutes airy, verbal and changeable energies into fixed, steadfast, and straightforward ones.

The Cancer Personality

If Cancer is taken to represent the fourth period of life, age 21-28, the Cancerian personality can be liked to the young adult seeking to establish his or her own home, career, and perhaps family for the first time.  Although the Crab is protective and knows how to wait, it is a mistake to think of Cancerians as passive individuals.  They can be quite aggressive in getting what they want, but often prefer not to make demands, expecting others to understand their needs, sensitivities, and diverse moods.  A strong bond of empathy with another person is far more important to a Cancerian then reason or logic.  As with the young adult, deep emotional friendship is of the utmost importance to them, and with it the corresponding need to trust and share.  Indeed, Cancerians find it hard to work with those whom they do not share a personal bond of mutual understanding.

Cancerians are often unusual people who are well aware of what sets them apart from others.  Their talent for non-verbal expression is reflected in arrangement of their home, with special emphasis on the kitchen and bedroom.  Activities such as eating, sleeping, sexual expression and the haring of affection or sympathy must be private, regular and satisfying in order to offer the unusual among of psychological support so necessary to the Cancerian.  Without these, Cancerians grow nervous and irritable.

A quiet evening alone with friends can be an ecstatic experience for those born under this sign.  Yet many Cancerians have strange aspects to their personalities which must be periodically revealed to the public.  Generally speaking, appreciating is not as important to the Cancerian as is expression and release.  Of course, Cancerians are particularly persuasive in the private sphere, where they best work their special brand of magic.

Cancer I
June 25-July2

Cancer I people are clever in getting their way.  Not in the least part, this is a result of understanding the needs and motivations of others.  Despite the image that Cancerians in general have of being dreamy and impractical, Cancer I people are often able to make their dreams pay off.  Indeed, those born in this period can be surprisingly successful in the hard world of business and impressively adept at handling money.  Their watery nature is revealed in treating currency as a fluid commodity, instinctively understanding that a constant cash flow is as necessary to finance as the movement of the tides is to the ocean.  Furthermore, one of the fortes of Cancer I people is salesmanship.  Since they are often masters of human psychology, they are able to convince the potential buyer that a product is the right "personal" item to purchase.

Build own home? Check!
The home is immensely important to a Cancer I.  Selecting, designing, and even building a dwelling is a top priority for the Crab.  But like their namesake, certain Cancer I's carry their 'home' with them in the sense of feeling secure and protected wherever they are.  Those born in this period do tend to be defensive-minded, but again, like the crab, they can show markedly aggressive instincts as well.  When necessary, Cancer I's can make a quick transition from a shy or retiring posture to an attacking mode.

Indeed, those born in Cancer I must be very careful that their aggressive instincts do not run riot in certain situations.  Another danger is that they will deny their aggressive side and attempt to suppress it.  For some born in this period, such denial can eventually lead to depression accompanied by periodic outbursts of anger.

Those cancer I's who allow themselves to get bottled up in a world of highly personal feelings may really put themselves through torture.  Such individuals, however, may have already unknowingly taken a first step toward evolutionary growth by having grappled with an emotional side of themselves that is involved and complex.  If they are able to win out in this struggle they may succeed in becoming highly positive and successful individuals.

Advice

Don't armor yourself too heavily -- on the other hand remain discriminating.  Allow others the freedom to take risks.  Though your salesmanship may be excellent, it is not always appreciated.  Don't only challenge your fears -- overcome them through self-liberation and action.
